A man arrested in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in Tieton earlier this month appeared in court Wednesday where prosecutors decided not to file charges. Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says he needed more information before filing a second degree murder charge against 56-year-old Edward Peyser.  The body of 33-year-old Jennifer Patterson was found in a field along North Tieton Road near Peyser's home on May 4. An autopsy found Patterson had been strangled, her body partially burned and sexually assaulted

The investigation continues as the Yakima County Sheriff's office continues to search for more clues to build a stronger case against Edward Peyser.

Peyser was released from jail on Wednesday.
