Yakima City Council Talking Strong Mayor Next Month

Next month is the month of February. That was originally the month that proponents of a strong mayor form of government were hoping for a question on the February 11 special ballot. The question would have asked voters to change the city charter to allow the change in government. That's not happening. But the Yakima City Council is meeting on Tuesday and is expected to talk about the proposal. There's also a possibility the council could take a vote on Tuesday on whether or not to place the question on the November ballot. If that happens what will the outcome be?
The council meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday February 4 at Yakima City Hall.
