Yakima City Council Takes Action Against Member Kay Funk

Yakima City Council member Kay Funk is now barred from serving on city board assignments for six months. The result of a 5-2 vote by the Yakima City Council on Tuesday. The council voted on the resolution at Tuesday night's city council meeting. The resolution means Funk can't serve on any city council assignments and non-city boards, commission assignments or committees. The resolution came after a 5-2 vote on a motion earlier this month by council member Brad Hill that said Funk had acted inappropriately as a council member. Funk says she was surprised and that the action against her was unwarranted.
