I watched my ten year old daughter Katelyn (the Gator) wrap up 4th grade today by receiving a cool new bicycle for having perfect attendance.  Very proud of her commitment and success in school.  It got me a bit nostalgic as I thought back to when she was about to be born and we were enjoying the prospect of coming up with her name.  It was frustrating and fun and in the end Kate, Katy, Katelyn was the perfect choice even though I call her gator or gatorsen most of the time!

That's why this story caught my eye.  Would you trust someone else to name your child?

There is a new company called Future Perfect offering to name your baby for $350.

It was founded by two moms who met on a playground and bonded over their children's unique names. Their packages start at $100, which will get you a 15-minute "namestorming" session via phone, while the $350 package features a 15-minute consultation that leads to a list of 10 suggested first names and 10 suggested middle names for the baby.

The website promises to give "neutral, unbiased, and tailored" advice.

Interesting approach.  I wouldn't do it but maybe you would?  Do you think the business has a "perfect future"?  Something to think about as you bask in the Dad Love coming your way this fathers day!  Happy Father's Day Dads!
