We love the food, we hate the hassle. We love to see our families, we hate the roads most traveled. Thanksgiving 2019 is upon us and here's what high-tech and Triple A (AAA) say we need to know!

Google Maps says the busiest day to travel is Wednesday (Nov. 27th), and the busiest time that day around is 3 to 4 p.m. Google suggests leaving earlier or waiting until around 6 a.m. Thanksgiving Day to depart.
As far as getting home after your turkey, you should know the roads are predicted to be busiest on Sunday (Dec. 1) at 3 p.m.  The experts say your best bet is to bail out early from the family fun and travel home on Friday (Nov. 29) at 4 a.m.  Uh ... 4 a.m.? No thanks, I'll be busy prepping for Black Friday sales and Small Business Saturday!
The AAA predicts 55 million people plan to hit the road this Thanksgiving, driving at least 50 miles. That makes it the second-busiest Thanksgiving for road travel since AAA began tracking in 2000.
