Work Closes Portion of Englewood Avenue Until Friday

Yakima city crews are busy this week with water line work around the city and it's impacting traffic. City officials say the work will close Englewood Avenue Between Powerhouse Road and North 32nd Avenue Wednesday through Friday, February 26th. The work happens from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. A press release says because the road is popular for drivers you may want to avoid the area to avoid the traffic.
"The work may cause interruptions in scheduled refuse collection. Contact the City of Yakima Refuse Division at 575-6005 for more information.
Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
As always, the schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies."
