Wow fellas, or is that bow-wow? The next time you are in the dog house look around and see if the dog is even there.  A new research survey shows the pooch may have taken your place permanently. A BizRate Research survey reveals 56 percent of women say their pets are more affectionate than their partners.

But wait there’s more! About 45 percent of women say their pets are cuter than their partners.

There seems to be something about a dame and a dog. Perhaps undying loyalty is the appeal, because that’s where guys often fall short. I guess we have to give it to the animals, doggone it! 

  • 73 percent of female pet owners report they are more inclined to date or marry someone who also has a pet.
  • 72 percent of women pet owners report their pets make them happier than their jobs.
  • Women are inclined to spend about $50-$100 a month on their pet.
  • 39 percent of women pet owners would consider taking their pet to a pet psychic, groomer, or therapist.
  • 36 percent of women owners take their pets along with them to run errands such as shopping or going to the hair salon.
  • 70 percent of female pet owners feel that their pets reflect their personality.
