Woman Arrested After Friday Morning Fire At Sunshine Motel

Yakima Police have arrested a 29-year-old woman in connection with an early morning fire at the Sunshine Motel on North First Street. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says the fire was reported at about 7:35 Friday morning and was started in a dumpster and lead to the motel where several rooms were damaged. "There was video available and we were able to identify the woman in the video and arrest her. She's now in custody."
Bastinelli says the woman, who has not been identified was arrested on an arson charge. No injuries were reported in the fire. The investigation continues Today.
