Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bill de Blasio, the list goes on and on of American politicians who want to steer our capitalistic system toward socialism.

Even with its dismal track record in reality, the fantasy still has its appeal so perhaps an academic reminder is in order.
