Having an auto parts store near you can be a life saver, especially when you run into common car problems like needing to replace a light bulb in your head and taillights or getting some antifreeze/coolant or engine oil. I go to auto parts stores all the time to get things like brake pads and replacement windshield wipers.

We have quite a few trusted auto parts stores in the Oregon and Washington areas, like AutoZone (sing it with me, “Get in the zone! AUTO-ZONNNE!”), NAPA Auto Parts, and O'Reilly's (sing it with me, “Oh, oh, oh, O’Reilleeeeees. Auto Parts. YEOW!”)

Wheels Pro, known for dealing with brands like Fuel Off-Road, Method Race, and KMC Wheels, announced bankruptcy early this year in September according to The Street. Many of our local tire stores, including Les Schwab tire stores in Washington and Oregon are dealers of Wheels Pro.

Last year, Auto Plus declared Chapter 11, according to a report from Veritaglobal. They were able to sell off some Pacific Northwest locations to a new buyer, and those stores have since been renamed.

Another popular auto parts store in WA and OR is Advance Auto Parts. Popcrush just announced they are filing for bankruptcy and will be closing some 700 locations across the country.

We haven’t seen the list yet, but I sure hope it doesn’t include any near me!

Here is a list of Advance Auto locations in OREGON and WASHINGTON.
