Tonight's game will be televised nationally on NBC. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT with Al Michaels (play-by-play), Cris Collinsworth (commentary), and Michele Tafoya (sidelines) on the call.

The Seahawks named their team captains on Wednesday. Quarterback Russell Wilson is the offensive captain, while strong safety Kam Chancellor will captain the defense. Punter John Ryan and kicker Steven Hauscka are the special teams captains.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is in Seattle for the season opener and had these comments about the game.

"It's very exciting for us," Goodell said. "Obviously, this is a great time of year. Everybody's undefeated. Everybody's got high hopes. You can feel the passion here. You can feel the energy as soon as you came into town that people are ready for football to start.

"We see that nationwide, but it's really another level here in Seattle," he added. "They're ready to obviously greet their Super Bowl team back and get this season started."

The Seahawks went 15-3 last season, winning the Super Bowl title, while Green Bay won the NFC North division crown and lost to San Francisco in the NFC wild card round.
