Lots of fun set for this Friday and Saturday during the annual Moxee Hop Festival in Moxee City Park.

FREE SWIMMING BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT MOXEE CITY POOL

The big community celebration kicks off on Friday from 3:00PM TO 12:00AM with free swimming offered at the Moxee Pool from 6:00PM to 10:00PM. Saturday the Moxee Hop Festival Parade starts at 10:00AM through the Moxee area and you can also swim for free on Saturday from 6:00PM to 10:00PM.

THE YAKIMA VALLEY GROWS 75% OF ALL HOPS USED FOR BEER FLAVORING

Festival officials say the Hop Festival, which celebrates and honors the hop harvest in the Yakima Valley. They say 75% of hops used by beer manufacturers in the country are grown right here in the Yakima Valley.
The festival was started in 1947 as a fundraiser for a city swimming pool. Since then the festival has been fully involved in funding and helping the community in a variety of ways.

THE FESTIVAL IS FAMILY FRIENDLY WITH LOTS OF FUN

There's fun for the entire family with great music, tasty food vendors, games for kids and a beer garden for adults. The forecast for Saturday calls for highs in the 80's which will make the fun even that much better when it's not a hot sweaty day.

If you are going to the festival for the beer and music you are not alone. Many people plan to attend the annual party in Moxee to celebrate the flavoring of the beer they love.
