Washington Wine Month Hits Yakima Valley

March is Taste Washington Wine month and wineries are working hard to put their wines on the map.

Barb Glover with Wine Yakima Valley says many retailers are getting into the spirit.

A lot of the wineries and retailers are offering discounts or benefits during taste Washington Wine Month.

Glover says the month culminates at the largest wine event in the state called Taste Washington next weekend in Seattle and she will be there promoting Yakima Valley wines. She says Taste Washington Wine month is the start of the wine buying season.

Glover says the next big event is Spring Barrel Tasting which takes place during various weekends in April.
