VFW Jr. Girls Collecting Items for U.S. Troop Care Packages

American troops are still fighting a war in Afghanistan and they still welcome care packages from home. The Yakima VFW Jr. girls this week are collecting snacks to send to troops and cash donations to cover the cost of postage. Today the girls are hoping to fill a pickup at Top Foods on South First Street and Wrays at 56th and Summitview on Saturday the VFW Jr. girls will be collecting cash and supplies at Top Foods and Albertsons on 40th and Tieton. They'll be collecting supplies from 9 to 5 each day.
