US Open Qualifying in Yakima

World class women's professional tennis is back in Yakima this week at the Yakima Tennis Club.

Spokesperson Annaelise Anderson says the US Tennis Association Pro-Circuit $50,000 Challenge Tennis Tournament is one of three events in the nation this year that will help American women qualify for the US Open in August.

“This is world class tennis in Yakima” says Anderson.

The event started at noon on Sunday and continues this week at the Yakima Tennis Club. Admission is free.
