Employee turnover in Union Gap continues while the city is stuck in a hiring freeze. Two more city employees were recently fired.  Both the interim city clerk and executive assistant were shown the door.  Our news partner KIMA Action News reports Four different people have held Union Gap's city clerk position this year alone.  The mayor says the turnover is so high because the replacements were only temporary. He stands behind the city administrators recent cuts. "Personnel is going to be his decision. So, in order for him to be successful as administrator, he needs to be the one making the personnel decisions," said Mayor Jim Lemon.  Mayor Jim Lemon says it's still unclear if the city's permanent city clerk will return from sick leave in July.
