Two People Killed Wednesday in Lower Valley Crash

Two people were killed in a Wednesday crash at the intersection of Kays Road and Lateral A Road in the Parker area. The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported at about 11:00 a.m. Troopers say a large truck and an SUV crashed at the intersection. They say the SUV was traveling west on Kays Road when the driver didn't stop at the stop sign at Lateral A and crashed into the large truck that was traveling southbound. A news release says the SUV rolled and caught fire trapping the driver and passenger. The two people died at the scene of the crash. The commercial truck driver received minor injuries.
