With the shooting death this week of a 36-year-old man, Yakima has experienced seven homicides in 2015.

Police told The Yakima Herald-Republic that they found 22-year-old William Martin Jr. on Tuesday at the home where Jeramiah Hunsaker was found dead.

Martin has been booked into the Yakima County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Hunsaker's death was Yakima's seventh homicide of the year. The city counted just two homicides in 2014, but there were eight in both 2013 and 2012.

Those numbers do not include police shootings or a drug overdose case that resulted in a homicide investigation in 2013.
