Traffic Crashes Involving Pedestrians Up In The City

If you walk around traffic be careful. There's been a big increase in vehicle/pedestrian accidents in the city. There were 63 cases last year.

That's up from 40 cases in 2009. Police aren't sure what caused that surge, but they say many of the victims were drunk. Police tell our news partner KIMA Action News most accidents involved jaywalking. they say distracted driving also led to several cases.
