It is called Yak Back and it is a new Yakima City service designed for you to send your concerns to city officials. Spokesman Randy Beehler tells KIT News Yak Back “is a great service that allows people to let the city know about areas in the city that need attention.”

He says citizens can become the eyes and ears for the city since city officials cannot be everywhere checking everything that needs attention. He says people report things like graffiti and street lights that need attention. Beehler says the Yak Back page is a result of a citizen survey in which people wanted a more direct way to contact the city about concerns.
