Sports? Who needs sports?  Well, WE DO and I'm sorry to report 3 more Yakima sporting events have been shutdown by the Coronavirus!

Rich Austin is Director of sports development with the Yakima Valley Sports Commission has the job of rearranging the deck chairs on the good ship Covid-19.  Events rescheduled once already are now being shut down until 2021 and there goes  the revenue that comes with those kind of big events.

On Thursday Austin cancelled three big events that were planned for the Yakima Valley later this year. The Die-hard 5 k, the 3 on 3 basketball tournament and the Yakima Sundome Volleyball Championship have all been cancelled for this year with plans to bring back the events in 2021.

Austin says current health rules won't allow such large events to happen while Yakima is still under COVID-19 restrictions.
