The Gap To Gap Race Is Back…This Weekend!
After a year off for Coronavirus isolation, the Yakima Valley's premiere family athletic endeavor is back. The annual Gap to Gap race on the Greenway is a GO for this weekend!
For more than 3 decades the race has been a family affair, an office team builder and a test for the ironmen and ironwomen who do it all themselves.
The Greenway's website describes it this way: "The Gap2Gap is a relay race that directly supports and highlights recreation on the Yakima Greenway. The race spans the Yakima area from the Heart of the Greenway at Sarg Hubbard park following the Yakima River to the Union Gap, through Hop fields and shrub steppe to the Selah Gap and back to the Sarg Hubbard Park..... the top fundraiser for the Yakima Greenway Foundation."
Konner Hopkins is a member of the Yakima Greenway Board of Directors and a long time Gap to Gapper who has actually won the Ironman event. He recently appeared on KIT's Morning news to invite folks to come out and experience the beauty of the Greenway.
