Police say vehicle theft is ongoing problem for drivers and police.

The two men were driving a white Toyota Tundra when they stole packages from a home on Cowiche Canyon Road on May 14.

The decision to not insure the vehicles only applies to new policies. Current policyholders can renew insurance as necessary.

Hundreds of vehicles are stolen within Yakima city limits every year and many of the thefts happen during the fall and winter months.
