Five short years ago new home sales were at an all time high.  No More. The effects of the collapse of the housing bubble four years ago are continuing to be felt, with Americans on track to buy fewer new homes in 2011 than in any year since the government began keeping track nearly a half-century ago.

HOME SALES HIT 13-YEAR LOW: The number of people who bought previously owned homes last year fell to the lowest level in 13 years, according to figures out Thursday (January 20th) from the National Association of Realtors.
