Full containment. That's the aim of firefighters working the Glade 3 fire burning 2 miles southwest of Mabton. Spokesman Guy Gifford says the fire stands at about 10,669 acres with 60 percent containment. He says 191 firefighters hope to have the fire fully contained later Today. He says the flames destroyed one outbuilding on Sunday but no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The fire was reported at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday. Glade road within the fire perimeter remains closed Today.

Firefighters are battling a brush fire burning on Alderdale Road south of Mabton reported at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday. At last check the Glade 3 fire was more than 10,000 acres. Fire officials say the flames spread quickly through think Brush and grass while being pushed by strong gusty winds on Sunday. Fire crews from Yakima county fire district 5, Klickitat County and Benton County are on the fire lines.
Units from through out the state will be arriving in Mabton Today to take over command of the incident.

Through out the incident several homes were threatened and evacuated.  Currently Glade road is closed and the public is asked to stay out of the area.

It is unknown the cause of the fire at this time.
