Stand Down Benefits Fair Set For October

It's called the Veterans Stand Down and Benefits Fair and it's set for October in Yakima. But this year will be different with the challenges of COVID-19. The 21st annual event is set for Saturday October 17 at the Yakima Valley Sundome at State Fair Park.
Dave Brown Coordinator of the Yakima County Veterans Program says they'll be following Health Guidelines including, masks, social distancing and limiting the number of people in the building at one time. Officials are asking all Veterans to complete the on line Stand Down Registration and Needs Assessment.  In addition services in the building they'll be offering curbside services as well as contacting those who do not attend but complete the Registration.
