A special hearing is set for tonight to talk about the county adult entertainment ordinance.  The hearing in front of the Yakima County planning department will deal with changes that would remove the compatibility review currently required under both the Yakima County and the Yakima urban growth area zoning ordinances and would instead rely on an existing predetermined list of protected uses.  Other elements of the existing regulations will be unchanged, such as the requirement to establish adult entertainment facilities within the Industrial (I) or Light Industrial (M-1) zoning districts, separation distances from protected uses and areas, and other requirements. Spokesperson Lisa Freund tells KIT News the hearing tonight starts at at 6:15 p.m. in the Yakima County First street conference room at 223 North First Street.
