A 20-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his father in Toppenish. The shooting was reported at about 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 16. Deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Yakama Nation Police Officers were called to the area of McKinley Road and Branch Road for a report of a gunshot victim. Authorities say the victim, identified as 42-year-old Ryan Ashlock called 911 saying his son shot him.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a crashed vehicle and the 42-year-old victim.
A short time later the victim's son, 20-year-old Anthony Ashlock was arrested near the intersection of McKinley Rd and Campbell Rd.
20-year-old Anthony Ashlock is being held on a charge of 2nd degree murder domestic violence for the killing of his father.
No other arrests were made as the investigation continues Today.
