SNOQUAMIE PASS, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Department of Transportation says Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass is open again after being closed for about an hour for tree removal.

Crews had expected to have the pass closed for about three hours Wednesday morning to remove hazardous trees from the area around the roadway. But the work was completed faster than expected.

The Interstate was closed last week for nearly 24 hours the day before Christmas because of avalanche danger and trees on the road.
