Sidewalk Snow And Ice Is Yours To Remove

Yakima City officials know all that snow on the sidewalk has been a hassle to remove. And if you've been shoveling that's great. But if you never moved the snow on the sidewalk in front of your home or business you may soon be hearing from the city codes department. City Code Manager Joe Caruso says he's received a number of complaints from people who are having a tough time walking on sidewalks full of snow. Caruso says code officers are taking action. And he says he's working with the Yakima airport to clear sidewalks around that facility as well.
