Shooting Victims Claims He Was Trying To Break Up Fight

A man who police say shot another man in an incident on Friday night was in court Monday on a first degree assault charge. The 22 year old suspect is being held in the county jail. Police say he shot 21 year old David Moreno in the chest after he tried to break up a fight between two women. Moreno is being treated at a local hospital. Police say it happened in the 14 hundred block of south 7th Street Friday night.
