The Selah City Council members Tuesday all voted to support a proclamation by Mayor Sherry Raymond that says the Governor's stay-at-home order won't be enforced in the city. The unanimous vote by the council happened after both the Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic and Governor Jay Inslee's office urged Raymond to cancel the proclamation. At Tuesday's meeting Raymond indicated she may modify the proclamation in the future but she didn't give details.
Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic will talk further about the issue during an appearance on The Morning News at 7:40 Wednesday on KIT.
