The day after the championship games, there was an article that talked about how ticket prices could be lower than they were in the past, but instead the exact opposite has happened.

Here's one story that shows that prices this year are triple what they were last year. Fortune Magazine did an article on the budget-busting nature of this year's ticket prices as well.

As of Saturday morning, here was the cost of tickets on some of the different third-party vendors which ESPN says is not even a guarantee to get into the game.

Stubhub: 206 tickets available ranging from $10,250.00 to $49,999.99
NFL Ticket Exchange: 56 tickets available ranging from $9,500 to $68,888
SeatGeek: Tickets range from $10,100 to $36,000
EpicSeats: Tickets range from $9,800 to $41,300

There are other vendors, such as VenueKings, that are not listing tickets.
