A private Christian education is a luxury many families wish for their children but can’t afford.  Now a grant from the De La Salle Christian Brothers based in Napa, California will make the dream possible for some future students of Yakima’s La Salle High School.

The grant will help fund tuition for deserving students and applicants for the “De La Salle Scholarship” must submit an online application, their current transcripts, and three teacher recommendations.  Students must also meet financial and academic guidelines.

This grant funding is available to students of all faiths.  Forms are available by visiting lasalleyakima.com or by calling (509) 225-2900, and asking about the “De La Salle Scholarship Program”.

La Salle president Tim McGree is appreciative of the Christian Brothers partnership saying, “We have a shared mission and purpose:  To develop students in faith, integrity, scholarship, and service.”  McGree says the Catholic - La Salle formula is working well for area students with100% of graduates having been accepted to college for 9 consecutive years, with the class of 2016 receiving over $5 million in college scholarships and aid.
