Scammers are busy trying to get your money that you want to give to the victims in Japan. Norma Miller with the Better Business Bureau says it's a common practice. Scammers try and figure out anyway to get you to give them your finances and financial information. Miller says it usually comes by way of a phone call from someone who sounds like they're from a legitimate organization like the Red Cross. If you have any questions about the charity you want to help check it out first at bbb.org. The website has information on charities and how much of your money actually helps those in need.
