Trip to the dentist planned? Just open wide and say "aaahhh ... rats!" Not gonna happen -- unless it's an emergency.
In a news release, the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA) says guidance from the State Health Department is to “postpone all elective, non-essential dental procedures” until further notice.
WSDA strongly recommends that all dental offices follow this guidance, adding that Gov. Jay Inslee will be issuing an order with a clearer time frame for postponing elective, non-emergent medical and dental care.WSDA’s Board of Directors has advised that “dental care related to the relief of pain and management of infection should continue to keep patients out of our state’s hospitals and emergency departments.”
A get-out-of-the-dentist's-chair-free pass is something I'm always looking for, but not this way or for this reason. To top it off, I just chipped a tooth. Seriously. Now I need an emergency pass to get into the chair I would normally gladly avoid! Coronavirus!
