Rotary District is looking for team members between the ages of 25-40 to participate in a vocational exchange to Germany in 2013.  The all-expenses-paid, month-long trip to Germany is scheduled for May 18 to June 15, 2013.  As a member of the Rotary Group Study Exchange (GSE) team, four young professionals, guided by a Rotarian Team Leader, will spend a month traveling throughout the partner Rotary District 1930 in picturesque southwestern Germany (the “Black Forest region”).

This is an outstanding opportunity for young people to travel to Germany, experience the culture and view similarities and differences in occupations.  Each GSE team member will live in the home of German Rotarians as their guests for several days. Typically, each host family houses only one team member. There may be as many as eight to ten different families a team member will visit while traveling through the German Rotary District.

During the day, team members will visit community places of interest and vocational sites that match the team members’ professions. GSE team members will attend local Rotary Club meetings, introduce themselves and discuss their countries, cities and professions.  This is Rotary International’s effort to promote understanding among people everywhere.

Rotarians worldwide contribute funds to the Rotary Foundation to make this exchange possible.

The eligibility criteria for the non-Rotarian team members:

• Be between the ages of 25 and 40.
• Be fully employed with at least two years of work experience in their chosen field.
• Be in the early-mid stages of their careers or professions.
• Reside in or be employed in Rotary District 5060 and also be citizens of the country in which they   reside.
• Be proficient in the language (German) is an asset.
• Be personable, articulate, cooperative, motivated team players, and enthusiastic about their vocations.
To learn more, go to the Rotary District 5060 website:  www.rotary5060.org Open the “GSE Brochure” that gives the criteria for selection. To apply, download the “Team Member Application” and forward the application to the Rotary Club in your community for the Club’s endorsement of your application.
