Red Mountain Kiona Winery Featured In Forbes Magazine

It's called Old Block and it was recently featured as the wine of the week in Forbes Magazine. The 2014 Estate Red Mountain Old Block Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by winemaker and Kiona Winery Manager JJ Williams. Williams grandparents planted the grapes and started the winery in 1975 in a large piece of land on Red Mountain near Prosser. Today they're still producing that Old Block red wine from those original grapes. "We still farm those original vines. They're still in the dirt they're still producing fruit. And the wine that was mentioned in the Forbes article was a Cabernet produced exclusively from that 1975 planting."
And that Old Block Cabernet Sauvignon was highlighted as the wine of the week in a March 1 article in Forbes Magazine. Williams says a lot of people are fans of the wine and other red wines produced at Kiona Winery in Benton City. Check them out on the web https://www.kionawine.com/
