Red Cross And Walmart Join Forces To Help Hurricane Harvey Victims In Texas
The Yakima chapter of the American Red Cross is collecting donations to help people in Texas after hurricane Harvey. Cody Tussler is the Disaster Program Manager who says you can send a check or drop off cash to the Yakima office at 302 South 2nd Street.
If you shop at Walmart the company is matching customer donations at the register two to one with cash and product donations of up to $10 million to support American Red Cross disaster relief. For every $1 donated, Walmart will contribute $2 worth of cash or, at Walmart’s option, needed product to the American Red Cross, up to $10 million. The campaign will run through September 6.
