Thanks to Liberty Bottleworks of Union gap and the volunteer time of one of its owners the Naches Primary and Intermediate School has an art program. Volunteer art teacher Amy Clark, who has an art and teaching degree has been helping kids create art all year and she says kids are excited. Clark and her husband Ryan are co-owners of Liberty Bottleworks. After learning the Naches School District did not have the funds for an art program Liberty Bottleworks, The Naches School District and the Naches PTSA created a partnership. The cost of the program is about 2 thousand dollars. and next year Liberty Bottleworks is teaming up with Rowe Farms in Naches to continue funding the program. Clark says it is inspiring that kids are reacting to art classes “it is so wonderful to see the kids excited about art and that is what I want the community to see and get behind because unfortunately our school district does not have the money to fund it.”

The kids are holding the first annual Naches Intermediate art show and silent auction. It is set for tonight from from 6:30 to 8 at Naches Intermediate School.
