Popeye’s Reaching out to Customers Concerned About Hep A
Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen is reaching out to customers who may have concerns about a possible exposure to Hepatitis A last month at the Yakima restaurant on Nob Hill Blvd. The restaurant chain has set up a phone number for customers who may have questions.
The number is 1-844-944-5444.
The Yakima Health District says so far five cases have been reported. Spokesperson Lilian Bravo says one of the five people with the virus visited the local Popeye's between October 23 and October 31 and may have exposed other customers. She says if you were in the restaurant during that time you need to make sure you have been vaccinated against Hepatitis A or get the vaccination soon. Bravo says after you've been exposed to Hepatitis A symptoms may develop two to six weeks after infection.
