Police Arrest Man in Fatal Yakima Stabbing
While Yakima Police continue to investigate the death of a 1-year-old boy at a West Valley apartment detectives have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the April 22nd fatal stabbing of 73-year-old Francis Gallagher. He was found bleeding on the floor of his home in the 400 block of North Sixth Street. He died at a Yakima hospital.
Capt. Jay Seely says detectives have been talking with people who were inside the apartment on the night of the killing. The 20-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday after detectives interviewed the man. He's facing a charge of second-degree murder. The suspect is being held in the Yakima County jail.
