Parents Of 3 year Old Boy Arrested After Scalding In Bath Water

A 3 year old boy is being treated at a Seattle hospital for burns after police in Ellensburg say he was placed in the hot bath water by his stepmother after failing to use the toilet. According to a news release the 28 year old stepmother and 25 year old father were arrested. The mother faces charges of second degree assault and criminal mistreatment the father was also charged with criminal mistreatment. Police were notified after the boy was being treated for burns at a Seattle hospital on New Years eve. The parents deny the charges. They say the boy climbed into the tub before they noticed the temperature of the water.
