One Arrested Two Injured in Toppenish Assault

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing reported Tuesday in the 900 block of W 1st Ave just outside the city limits of Toppenish. Deputies say three men were in a fight in the Toppenish Flea Market area. They say two of the males were stabbed by a third man. The 24-year-old man from Toppenish was arrested on assault charges.
The suspect fled the area but was arrested a short time later.
One of the victims, a 29-year-old man from the Wapato Toppenish area was treated for a non-life-threatening wound at a Toppenish hospital. The other victim, a 32-year-old man from Toppenish was taken to a Yakima hospital for non-life-threatening wounds.
