Manuel Verduzco is on his way to prison. The Selah resident was convicted of 2 counts of aggravated 1st degree murder for killing two employees at the MoneyTree business in Yakima in 2016. Yakima County Superior Court Judge Michael MCcarthy called the murders cold blooded in court Friday before imposing two life sentences without parole.
Verduzco is now on his way to prison.

The sentencing in a double murder case from 2016 in Yakima starts at 9:00 A.M. Friday in Yakima County Superior Court. Manuel Verduzco of Selah faces a sentence of life in prison without parole after a jury last month found him guilty of two counts of first degree aggravated murder in the March 2016 shooting deaths of Marta Martinez and Karina Morales-Rodriguez. The two were employees at the MoneyTree in Yakima and had just arrived for work when they were shot dead. Prosecutors say Verduzco shot the women while in the process of robbing the business.
And while Verduzco faces an automatic sentence of life in prison victims are expected to address the court before Judge Michael McCarthy imposes the sentence later Friday.
