NEW YORK (AP) — The 2015 American League Rookie of the Year is Houston shortstop Carlos Correa. The youngest position player in the majors made his debut June 8 and hit .279 with 22 homers, 68 RBIs and 14 steals to help the Astros make their first postseason appearance in a decade. Correa received 17 firsts and 13 seconds for 124 points to edge out Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor and Minnesota designated hitter Miguel Sano.

NEW YORK (AP) — Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has been unanimously voted the National League Rookie of the Year after hitting .275 with 26 home runs, and 99 RBIs. Bryant compiled a .488 slugging average on the strength of 62 extra-base hits, including 31 doubles. San Francisco third baseman Matt Duffy was second in the balloting, two points ahead of Pittsburgh infielder Jung Ho Kang (gahng).
