Mexican Art Could Soon Be In Downtown Yakima

The Yakima City Council this month is expected to decide where to place art from the Yakima Morelia Sister City Assocaition. Association board member Jessica Moskwa says they've been working closely with the Yakima Arts Commission on finding a home for the bust of one of Mexico's greatest heroes General Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon. The issue is expected to come before the Yakima City Council on Tuesday April 19th. The specific proposed location for the new art is in the median of North 3rd Street North of Yakima Avenue.
