Man Who Authorities Say Killed Wife and Burned Remains In Court Monday
A 44-year-old man arrested for the murder of his wife last Friday in Granger made an appearance in Yakima County Superior Court on Monday where bail was set at $1 million. Jaime Munguia-Alejandre of Granger faces a charge of second degree murder after authorities say the burned remains of his 37-year-old wife, Maria Gonzalez-Castillo's were found behind the couples Granger home. Detectives with the Yakima County Sheriff's office say the couple argued last Thursday and Gonzalez-Castillo was reported missing by her children on Friday when her remains were discovered. An autopsy found she died of blunt force trauma.
Munguia-Alenjandre is being held in the Yakima County jail.
