Yakima County Sheriff's officials say an argument over a wallet lead to a shooting in a parking lot at South 52nd and Ahtanum Road on Wednesday. Authorities the victim was at the West Valley Walmart at about 11:30 p.m. when he saw someone he recognized. As the victim got into his car and drove away he noticed the man followed him until he pulled into a parking lot at South 52nd Avenue and Ahtanum. The two then got into an argument over a woman's wallet and that's when the 32-year-old suspect from Yakima pulled a gun and shot the victim in the leg. The suspect drove away and the victim drove to a friends home and was then taken to a Yakima hospital by a private vehicle. Deputies are searching for the suspect. The victim is being treated at a Yakima hospital today for the non-life threatening injury.
