A suspect is in custody after Moxee Police arrested the man following a high speed chase on Sunday. Police tried to stop the man in Moxee but he took off and a chase started. Deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff's office were called to assist Moxee Police. When the deputies arrived the driver fled striking one of the Deputies’ vehicles.
As the pursuit continued another Deputy successfully spiked the vehicle’s tires and the vehicle was stopped.
The driver was arrested and drugs were found in his vehicle. Sheriff's officials say 250 suspected fentanyl pills, packaging materials, and cash were found in the vehicle. The driver faces felony charges and is being held in the Yakima County jail.
